YSL Dupes

As some of you may know the single strapped sandal heel is making its way back into the fashion lanes with celebrities like Rihanna and Ashley Madekwe donning them. The Yves Saint Laurent sandal is a little bit far fetched out of my price range (haha) so I have found the perfect dupes for them from Zara!
These beauties are only £39.99
Here's another Zara sandal with a gold detailing for £29.99. I can't decide which one I'll get (sigh) hopefully one of them will be mine.

Laura Mvula Gig

Last night I had the privilege to watch the lovely Laura Mvula sing songs off her new album "Sing To the Moon". She was absolutely amazing, no other words could describe it. Her voice is definitely something new and refreshing to listen to and her live band was so different from other bands I've seen. She had a cello player, a harpist and a trumpet hottie haha (her drummer was also one of the best I've seen). She really is inspiring fashion wise too; she wore this beautiful angelic white gown with a cute mini dress hidden underneath and a pair of white bossy heels. I can't wait for her to elevate, she definitely has a lot to offer in the fashion world as well as the music industry. Gonna have to make it a priority to see her again as I loved pretending to be one of her back up singers in the crowd (slightly embarrassed ha).

Sorry for the one crappy photo I was enjoying myself too much plus a couple numpties were getting in the way.

Her album "Sing To the Moon" is now available on iTunes.
 Favourite songs: "Green Garden" and "That's Alright".

Muse of the Month||Leomie Anderson

I'm going to start featuring people on my blog who inspire me in all aspects of life.

This month's post goes to Leomie Anderson. Just a little back track to who she is; Leomie is a 20 year old model from London (plus a Jamaican like myself woot! woot!) who was scouted by premier models at the age of 14 (LUCKY!!) and is doing very well within the modelling industry. You may have recently seen her walk the Rihanna for River Island catwalk which made me rekindle my love for her. But Leomie isn't just an average model, she's done tons of work for high end designers such as Jeremy Scott and has walked on over a dozen high end fashion catwalks just this past fashion week, London being seven.

But the main reason to why I respect her so much is because she is really studying her craft and is a role model for younger girls who aspire to be like her. On her YouTube channel Cracked China Cup she reminds girls that education is key and that modelling isn't all fun and laughter. She also explains the hardships of being a coloured model but assures her audience that it doesn't stop her from wanting to continue in pursuing a successful career in the business. Leomie inspires me to never give up on something you want even though there may be stumbling blocks in your way. If you never try, you will never succeed.

To check out more about Leomie Anderson visit her blog Cracked China Cup.
I do not own any of the photos used in this post.
